The torrent of leaks and unwanted “disclosures” pouring out of our Nation’s Capital threaten to burst the “Truth–Levies” the Bush administration and its Stealth Cartel allies have fought so hard to strengthen and reinforce throughout this second term.

However, not all leaks and unwanted “disclosures” that flow out of D.C. these days emanate from the government; and the fundamental question, which needs to be asked in this time of “undesirable disclosures of information”, is … “are all leaks bad?”
As an individual who believes in the free market system and the necessity of full-disclosure for a healthy democracy, with certain exceptions to this rule, including actual and specific classified military intelligence, information which draws back the curtain of deception to reveal the otherwise intentionally obfuscated truth of what individuals, companies and governments are trying to accomplish, is an important and necessary element to our free society. There simply would be no information to “leak” if these Stealth Cartels had not gone to such substantial lengths to camouflage the truth. The obvious reason such veracity has not been previously displayed by these Stealth Cartels, be it on a national or state-based government level, is evident – had the voting constituency and general public been actually informed of the goals and intended consequences of these schemes; opposition may have been sufficiently strong to have halted the Stealth Cartel project in question from ever commencing in the first place.
And as it has often been the case with Stealth Cartel Public Enemy No. 1 — the Big Tobacco/State Government Master Settlement Agreement (“MSA”) as enforced by the National Association of Attorneys General (“NAAG”), has provided our site with yet another example of the lengths the Comrades in Collusion will go in order to “protect” the Citizen Consumers and independent small business people from the ugly truth.
StatesOnTheTake.com has obtained and posted on its home page the minutes of a meeting between Big Tobacco and its Comrades in Collusion, state government officials . The meeting between executives from Philip Morris, Brown & Williamson, Lorillard, R.J. Reynolds Tobacco and one of the primary movers and shakers in their Stealth Cartel with states’ governments – representatives from the National Association of Attorneys General (“NAAG”), took place on January 25th, 2004.
As was demonstrated in the “Privileged and Confidential” NAAG memo#03-111 of September 12th, 2003, which StatesOnTheTake.com obtained and posted on its home page, the statements and admissions contained within the minutes of this meeting, clearly lay out the actual goals and intentions of the MSA Stealth Cartel – to further its “scheme”, as well as the Cartel’s fears of the intervening and disruptive effects of the free market as it attempts to survive the collusive efforts to destroy the rights of the Citizen Consumer and establish a de-facto monopoly for Big Tobacco and MSA money hungry states’ governments [see home page for special link to read the minutes and the NAAG memo].
StatesOnTheTake.com is working hard to establish itself as a clearinghouse for those Citizen Consumers, independent small businesses and other websites and blogs have realized who have realized the inherent risks of Stealth Cartels, by no means limited to the Big Tobacco/State Government Cartel. Citizen Consumers, independent small business people and bloggers are realizing the exponential increase of Stealth Cartels, which, as with the MSA model – are often-ties constructed to operate under the mainstream media’s national news level, on a state – not national level, across our country. StatesOnTheTake.com welcomes continued input and information from Citizen Consumers, independent small businesses and other websites and bloggers that would further expose the true agendas of the companies and state politicians that are conspiring at an alarming rate, to tilt the economic playing field against the Citizen Consumer and the independent small business person in the efforts to establish de-facto monopolies for the mutual benefit of the Big Business Interests and their Stealth Cartel partners in state government.
